2. Grounding connection for SPD is input from part of the SPD and the shield part of the communication line should be connected to the grounding bus bar where <eca3G> is connected.
3. SPD should be installed close to the protecting equipment. If the SPD is installed over 30 meters away from the protection equipment, a secondary SPD should be installed near the equipment. Please try to make the cable length as short as possible.
4. <INPUT> of SPD is connected to the part where surges may occur, and <OUTPUT> of SPD is connected to the protecting equipment.
5. SPD should be installed in the protection box away from dust or rain.
6. All SPDs are designed to be maintenance free with its internal components not needing to be repaired, and designed so that the internal circuitry of the SPD will be disconnected (short) when a communication line is directly contacted with a power line as a result of an arc because of insulation breakage. Overcurrent may occur because of severe lightning.
7. If the internal part of the SPS is shorted, communication will be disconnected, and the SPD should be changed for reconnecting the communication. If the damage of the SPD is caused by a power line failure, the power line should be repaired.
8. SPD is a consumable product, it is advised to have a spare in the case of surge damage.
